Emma is a Toronto-based writer from Vancouver and current resident of the Canadian Film Centre’s Bell Media Prime Time TV Writing Program. She wrote, directed and produced the short film Pippa Eats (Toronto Indie Film Festival, Canada Shorts) and produced Season 1 of the award-winning digital series Running with Violet. Focused on comedy, Emma has written on Seasons 2 and 3 of the CBC digital series True Dating Stories (nominated Best Comedy Writing at The Indie Series Awards), been a writers’ assistant for the Amazon Reboot of The Kids in the Hall and performed stand up comedy in Toronto. Emma holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Toronto (Trinity College).
